KK Day Wreath-Laying Ceremony

blog

Intellectual Expression was honoured to be part of the exclusive wreath laying ceremony in honour of Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, Zambia's first republican president.

KK, as the founding president was fondly known as, is remembered by his strong desire and never-ending work to see a united Zambia, and he famously coined the One Zambia, One Nation. But more than a unifier, KK was a patron of the men's national football team, a believer in the youth of Zambia, and an ardent musician who played a huge role in promoting the arts.

It was a humbling experience to be a part of honouring the legacy of KK, as the ideals he stood for resonate with the ethos of Intellectual Expression, and particularly the 73=ONE label, which was inspired by the One Zambia, One Nation motto.
